In an effort to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our region, Austin Community College (ACC) has made the difficult decision to keep campuses closed to students and the public until Monday, April 13. Spring classes will resume remotely on Monday, March 30, as previously announced.

This extended closure allows ACC to comply with the stay-at-home orders issued this week by the City of Austin and Travis and Williamson counties. Online classes will continue as planned, and on-site classes will transition to remote learning. All face-to-face instruction and services are suspended until further notice.

“We understand many students did not choose online as their delivery of instruction. However, the health, safety, and well-being of our community is our first concern. ACC faculty and staff are committed to doing everything possible to ease the transition,” says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president/CEO. “Many hours have been dedicated to ensure students have virtual access to the support and resources they need to finish the semester strong.”

During this period, campuses will be open only to essential personnel and faculty and staff who are working to facilitate online instruction and remote work.
