Governor Greg Abbott appointed ACC President/CEO Dr. Richard Rhodes to the Texas Workforce Investment Council for a second six-year term. The Council engages in a collaborative, systematic view of workforce development programs throughout the state and provides for planning, evaluation, research, and other functions related to 19 workforce programs.
Author, award-winning jewelry designer, and ACC Continuing Education Jewelry Professor Gay Isber released her first book, "Making WOW Jewelry: Techniques and Projects for Making a Statement." The book debuted as a 'No. 1 New Release' on Amazon, and she has already started working on her second book due out in April. Isber also filmed three shows for PBS which will air this spring.
ACC History Professor Dr. David M. Lauderback shared his expertise on impeachment on Fox 7 News in December. He dissected the current situation and detailed the impeachment process, as well as what to expect next. Watch the video here.
ACC Veterans Resource Manager Mark Harden discussed how images of war can trigger PTSD for veterans on CBS Austin. Harden, a 25-year Army veteran, also gave advice for veterans experiencing difficulties stemming from the rising tensions in the Middle East. Watch his interview here.
